The Lagoon 42 ‘Horizon’ is a beautiful and well-equipped catamaran from 2019. We are the first owners and purchased the yacht directly from the Lagoon yard in Les Sables d’Olonne, France. The ship is ready for departure and suitable for long-term stays on board.

The yacht was delivered from the yard with a very comprehensive package of options such as the comfort configuration pack, Yanmar 57 hp engines, folding propellers, and more. In addition to the factory options, the following have been installed:

3-cabin version
The 3-cabin version provides sleeping accomodation for 6 people. The spacious aft cabins feature generous island beds and plenty of closet space. Each of the 3 cabins has its own bathroom with a sink, shower, and toilet. The large windows offer stunning sea views from the bed, and the individual ventilation ensures a pleasant airflow at all times.
The owner’s cabin can be considered as the Master bedroom extends the entire length of the catamaran. This bedroom offers beautiful sea views and plenty of closet space.
It has:
- a spacious double freestanding bed with access on both sides
- seating bench
- a desk that serves well as an office
- luxurious bathroom with a shower, a separate toilet, all teak floor
- washer/dryer combination.
Salon and outdoor cockpit seating area
Centraal in het jacht is de salon met panoramisch uitzicht door de karakteristieke ramen van een Lagoon catamaran. De zitting is bekleed met grijze stof en de keuken is voorzien van alle gemakken, waaronder:
- koelkast
- 100 liter vriezer
- Fornuis
- Magnetron met grill
De schuifdeur zorgt voor een naadloze overgang van de salon naar de buitenruimte, die beschikt over:
- een zithoek met diverse lounge- en ligweiden
- volledige teakhouten vloer op het achterdek
- teakhouten tafel
- buitenkoelkast
- Afwasmachine
De overdekte buitenkuip biedt schaduw en beschutting, vooral in combinatie met de kuipbehuizing.
Captain’s place
From the cockpit, three steps lead to the helm station from where the yacht is operated. The electric winch makes sailing effortless. From the helm, you have full visibility of all corners of the yacht, which is convenient for mooring. Next to the helm on the roof, there is a double sunbed with a beautiful view.
Lounge set on the foredeck
On the foredeck, a comfortable lounge set is available, accommodating up to 6 people to enjoy the sun and the open view over the water. The trampolines are located in front of the lounge set. In the bows of the hulls, there are two large storage spaces for items such as sails, snorkeling gear, and fenders. A new dinghy with a Suzuki 6 hp engine provides transportation from the catamaran to an island or mainland via the davits.
The ship is fully equipped with Radar & AIS, B&G navigation equipment, and safety features such as a built-in liferaft.
Yacht was 100% privately used
As owners, we have always taken good care of the yacht. We are cruisers who enjoy traveling, leisurely sailing, exploring destinations, and experiencing the atmosphere of different countries. We know the full usage history from the delivery at the yard to now. The yacht has always been privately used and never chartered out, and it is in excellent maintenance condition. After 5 years of use, each engine has 2900 hours on the clock.
Recent upgrades and maintenance
In July 2022, the yacht was taken out of the water for technical maintenance at the Lagoon yard, including the application of new anti-fouling, the replacement of anodes, and inspection of the sail drives.
In September 2023, the liferaft and fire extinguishers were re-inspected and certified.
In April 2021 and February 2023, the standing rigging was inspected and approved with certification reports.
In June 2024, the mainsail and jib were inspected and equipped with UV strips and chafe protection.
The yacht comes with all accompanying documents, such as the CE certificate.
